Platform features

Sciente: a platform for research articles and systematic reviews

Sciente (sciente.ru) is a Russian-language workspace for physicians, researchers and research teams. Each project connects literature search, an article library, evidence appraisal, an AI assistant, statistics and a manuscript editor with citations.

The open methodology reference is one section of Sciente. After registration, you work with sources, data and your research text in your account.

01

Literature search & screening

A single starting point for research databases, with transparent deduplication and controlled selection.

  • Search PubMed, Crossref, DOAJ, Wiley, bioRxiv, medRxiv, J-STAGE and an open-access journal archive from one interface with result deduplication.
  • Title/abstract screening with include/exclude decisions for a systematic review.
02

Citation graph & analysis

A visual map of the evidence base that reveals connections and gaps.

  • An interactive citation graph reveals links between works and gaps in the evidence base.
03

AI research agent

An assistant for working with sources and text. Researchers must check AI responses.

  • The agent answers grounded in retrieved sources and assists with methodology and section drafts.
04

Evidence appraisal

Quality standards are built into the workflow.

  • Built-in RoB 2, AMSTAR-2, NOS, QUADAS-2, ROBINS-I scales and PRISMA 2020 reporting.
05

Citation-aware editor

As you write, citations and the bibliography are assembled automatically.

  • A collaborative editor with automatic citations and bibliography generation in major research styles.
06

Statistics & publishing

A connected workflow from calculations to a submission-ready manuscript.

  • Meta-analysis statistics and manuscript preparation for submission — within one workflow.

How to use Sciente in your research

Prepare a systematic review of medical literature

Define your question and selection criteria, find publications and build your project's article library. Record inclusion and exclusion decisions, assess risk of bias, then prepare the review with citations. Statistical pooling is appropriate only when the studies are sufficiently comparable.

Write a research article using sources and your own data

Keep literature and materials in your project, use AI to ask questions about sources and prepare drafts, work with data and edit your manuscript. Check calculations, references and conclusions before submitting to a journal. Responsibility for publication remains with the authors.

Understand methodology and evidence

Open the reference guide to methodological assessment tools to choose a tool that fits your study design. The reference page explains the tools; it is not, by itself, a completed assessment of your work.

What to know before you start

  • AI can make mistakes even when references are provided. Check quotations, numerical data and interpretation against primary sources.
  • Search completeness depends on the databases selected, the query and publication availability. Finding an article record does not mean its full text is accessible.
  • Sciente does not replace a reviewer, a statistician or clinical judgement, and does not guarantee that a journal will accept an article.
  • You can start for free. Individual paid operations are charged to your balance. The terms are available under Pricing; prices for individual operations are shown in the platform.
